Create a link in ten seconds and send it to your client. Chat, voice and video are encrypted in the browser. No app to install, no account to create.
Built by Benbo.se in Sweden. The source is open and you can read it.
Ready in about 10 seconds
Five steps, from link to nothing.
You pick a name and how long it should exist. No account needed.
Everything after the # stays in the browser. The key never reaches our server.
hushroom.io/r/quiet-oak-4821#key=a3f9c1b7…
The other party clicks and is in. No app, no sign-up.
Chat, voice and video. Encrypted in your browser, not on our side.
When the timer runs out everything is deleted. There is nothing left to request.
Example
The whole service is public on GitHub, including the encryption and the tests that prove it works. Read the code, run it yourself, or host your own instance. A service with something to hide cannot do this.

Three steps. No setup. No trace.
Verify your email once. Takes about 10 seconds. No password, no account.
Send the link to the other party. They click and join. No app, no sign-up.
End-to-end encrypted chat, voice and video. Room auto-deletes when done.
Privacy by design, not by promise
Messages and calls encrypted client-side. Even we cannot read your conversations.
Rooms auto-delete when time runs out. The conversation never happened.
Participants join instantly via link. No app, no account, no trace left behind.
The same moment, three views. From the first message to the room expiring.

We see the display name and the time. The content itself is encrypted in your browser and stored as [encrypted]. The key lives only in the link fragment, which per the HTTP specification is never sent to a server. Once the Redis key expires there is nothing left to hand over.

Three conversations that require confidentiality
What they have in common: the person is outside your organisation, and the conversation should neither be archived nor pass through a US cloud.
Reporting channels, unions, ombudsmen. Send a link. No account, no trace.
Legal, healthcare, social services. Talk on video without inviting outsiders into Teams.
Journalism, audit. The room expires on its own, so nothing is left afterwards.
For internal work, Teams is excellent. For the external, confidential conversation it is the wrong tool.
| Hushroom | Teams | Zoom | Signal | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Account required | No | Yes, for you (guests via web link) | Yes, for the host | Phone number + app |
| Conversation archived | No, deleted when the room closes | Yes (M365 archive, e-discovery) | Recording and logs optional | On the device |
| US cloud | No, Sweden | Yes | Yes | Yes (US servers) |
| Invite an outsider without an account | Yes, one link | Partly (web guest) | Yes | No (app required) |
Hushroom does not replace Teams. It is the room next door, for the conversation that should not persist.
